Since 1997 global warming has been booming over entire world. According to issued, Global warming was caused by green house gasses concentration increase. But oposite with green house gasses, it is issued that aerosol has colling efect. These that becoming reason why this research had been done. CH4 is part of green house gasses. Here beside CH4 and aerosol, also other parameters such as longwave, cloud fraction, rain fall, wind velocity and vegetation index would be investigated. Research aim was to investigate longwave, CH4, aerosol, cloud fraction, rain fall, wind velocity and vegetation index influences to surface temperature in Sumatera and its vicinity. Which was influenced dominant to surface temperature among them ? Used data in this research were absorbed longwave intensity at surface, CH4 concentration, aerosol small mode fraction,
cloud fraction, accumulated rain, wind velocity, vegetation index and surface temperature. Used method was statistical method i.e. correlation between surface temperature and those parameters. Conclusion of this research were longwave, CH4 making surface temperature to increased, while rain fall, vegetation index, wind velocity, aerosol and cloud fraction making surface temperature to decreased. Among them, longwave intensity had the biggest correlation value (0.57), while vegetation index had the least correlation value(0.06).
