Abstract
Theoretical results have been attempted all this time to determine the value of temperature at the wall of nozzle were uncertain about the truth, and to make sure this theory, the temperature distribution measurement test using thermocouple were applied during statical test of rocket motor RX 3240 which thickness is 6 mm and S45C type of material that was placed at the area where not overlayed with graphit. Which is this is become The objective of this comparison activity. The reason or background of this comparison activity is to make both the statical test and flight test of rocket not failed since if the design cannot find the excact value of temperature at nozzle,then the material became melting and because its limit of material structure from heat treatment and chamber pressure effect can causing explosion at the rocket during burning time. The methode of this comparison activity is make the simulation or prediction of temperature value at nozzle area by software and then actual measurement at nozzle area were applied, therefore this two value of simulation and value of actual measurement were able to make comparison. Based on the Comparison result, there are value obtained between the test results and the actual theoretical calculations it is 19,69% differences between actual measurement and theoretical calculation, so it means that theoritical calculation has been done this time by LAPAN are valid enough since the actual measurement were quietly identical with the theory calculation. And to make the theoretical calculation easier, then a computer program were built using a Visual Basic programming.
