Ozone and carbon monoxide (CO) are two important compounds in the atmosphere. CO is one of the ozoneforming substances in the atmosphere so that the increased concentration of CO will increase especially in tropospheric ozone concentrations. Research on the variability of tropospheric ozone and total column CO in West Kalimantan have been made. West Kalimantan was chosen as a study site because it is very vulnerable to forest fires that would trigger the CO concentration. The data used is the observation of tropospheric ozone data from Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) Aura satellite and the observation of the total column CO are from Atmospheric Infra Red Sounder instrument (AIRS) Aqua satellite. The results showed from an analysis of time series derived tropospheric ozone concentrations range from the period of 2005-2009 in West Kalimantan by 23-54 DU. Maximum concentration are 54 DU occurred in July 2006. Total column of CO in West Kalimantan in 2002-2009 showed a range between 1.7 to 3.9 x1018 molekul/cm2 . The maximum total column CO are 3.9 x1018 molekul/cm2 occurred in October 2006. Spatial analysis showed tropospheric ozone is concentrated in the southern region of West Kalimantan with a maximum value in the summer JJA (June-July-Augustus).
